The Canadian Adult Literacy Program (CALP) is a government sponsored program.

CALP exists to provide assistance to adults wanting to achieve life goals. This is accomplished through a variety of ways as everyone has different goals. CALP can provide learning opportunities to:

  • Gain confidence in public speaking
  • Navigate online safely
  • Prepare for English competency testing
  • Acquire job skills to enhance employment opportunities

This is accomplished through trained volunteers for one-on-one tutoring, scheduled group training sessions and access to resource materials through the VPL. CALP is adaptable to your learning needs and goals. You are always welcome to come have a chat with us to see how we can assist you.

For more information please e-mail: calp@vanderhooflibrary.com
